Summer Cruisin' Mix

August 15th, 2013

mixes, listening, cruisin, collaborations

I was tasked with coming up with a summer mix for my friend Sarah’s fashion blog Fashion and Philosophers and given quite the playlist to try to work in. There was Bill Withers, Florence + The Machine, Kimbra; it was pretty diverse. Work them in, I did and the result is the perfect mix to roll the windows down and cruise around town to. Or, if you’re stuck at work, maybe just pretend. This is summer Panda Style!

Do That Trouble I Do

June 12th, 2013

live remix, mash-up, taylor swift, dolce, traktor, f1, s4, remix

Hey everybody, it’s new remix day!

I put together this little live remix/mashup thing with Taylor Swift’s “I Knew You Were Trouble” and Dolce’s “Do What I Do”. Not Tay Tay’s biggest fan or anything like that, but her vocals sit great on top of basically anything. This remix was performed live in Traktor with the S4 and F1, rocking Tekken’s amazing F1 Ultimate FX Mapping. If you’re a DJ with an F1, you really have to check out that mapping, it’s wonderful.

Shot a little video, so check that out and grab the full remix below on Soundcloud!

Roaring Twenties Live Birthday Mix

May 9th, 2013

mixes, live mixes, parties, electro swing, dance

A while back I DJ’ed a birthday party on a rooftop downtown. It had a cool 1920’s theme and so I figured it’d be a great opportunity to bust out some electro swing. It’s been popping up in commercials here lately and I’m sure with as big as the Gatsby movie has been so far, it’s only going to heat up further.

I’d planned on cleaning up this mix and posting the best parts, but well, I got lazy. So here’s the full, raw, uncut live mix from that night. Great music to work to. It’s fun, will make you dance in your seat, but isn’t going to distract you from what you’re doing. Give it a listen!

Club Demo 2011

May 10th, 2011

mixes, demos, reggae, hip hop, dance, pop

I found a gig on Craigslist and the promoter wanted me to put together a mix for him as an audition. He sent me a track list and asked that I put them together to test my range and stuff. Unfortunately, I was too slow to reply and missed out on the gig. I did, however, do a pretty great job of mixing this up, if I do say so myself.
